This tour begins with a wine tasting experience of two port wine varieties: ruby ​​and tawny, as a “welcome drink”. While explaining curiosities of this wine so unique and tasty, we cross the Douro river heading to Vila Nova de Gaia, the city that hosts the very famous Port Wine cellars, your next stop. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit and learn all about the centuries process behind the conception of Port Wine. At the end of this visit, the best part of it, you’ll have another Port Wine tasting experience: a perfect opportunity to enjoy some of the best ones. Crossing the monumental D. Luís I bridge back to Porto, we find the “Ribeira”: the perfect place to relax and enjoy Portuguese gastronomy to the sound of the river and good music. Driving through the “Jardim do Infante D. Henrique” where you’ll see the Church of “São Francisco” and the Palácio da Bolsa, at the top of Mouzinho da Silveira Street we find the imposing São Bento Railway Station. This Station is like a little museum: its walls tell the story of remarkable moments of Portugal’s history through the over than 20,000 dazzling tiles painted by hand. Your private guide will explain the stories these tiles of unquestionable beauty have to tell. Still in the old part of the city, a UNESCO World Heritage site full of history and with such rich heritage to explore, the next stop is in Porto’s Cathedral, one of the most enchanting buildings where you can appreciate its Romanesque  and medieval architecture. After this, we head to the Cathedral of Porto, the famous Santa Catarina Street, known for its commerce and the beautiful façade of the “Almas” Church. Then, in the very center of Porto, there is “Aliados” Avenue, the biggest square in the city, which hosts city hall. Then I’ll show you where you can find the very famous Lello Bookshop for all the references to “Harry Potter”, then I’ll tell you the incredible story about the Carmo and Carmelite Churches, and finally the unique Clérigos Tower.
